Get ready for a double dose of retrogrades in July.
On the heels of Saturn retrograde, which kicked off on June 29, Neptune will be spinning in the sign Pisces starting on July 2 and lasting until Dec. 7.
Nicknamed "the Great Dissolver," Neptune is known as an “elusive, dreamy and hypnotic planet,” per astrologer and bestselling author Lisa Stardust.
Just as the planets have different meanings, their retrogrades affect us in different ways astrologically. For Neptune retrograde, in particular, Stardust says “we’ll get a dose of pragmatism that will awaken our desires and push them to become reality.”
“Since Neptune is retrograde for nearly five months in a year, it’s a common transit and offers a lesser version of Neptune’s direct motion,” Stardust adds, noting that “finding a balance between balance and reality will be the ongoing theme of the retrograde.”
Here’s how Neptune retrograde will affect you, based on your zodiac sign, according to Stardust’s readings.

Aries (March 21-April 19)
Dream on, Aries! Stardust says your “dreams may be more poignant than ever” during this time. Stardust notes that it’s essential for you to “take note of what's being shown and try to implement [the dreams] into reality.”
Taurus (April 20-May 20)
You’ll be inclined to do some good during Neptune retrograde, Taurus. Stardust foresees that your sign “is going to commit to a previous venture that aligned some with your community and humanitarianism,” noting that doing so will help you “connect to others and contribute to society.”
Gemini (May 21-June 20)
Feeling confused about your career trajectory, Gemini? Stardust encourages you to “try to understand [your] professional aspirations by meditating on what [you] want to attain” to make your next step incredibly clear.
Cancer (June 21-July 22)
Cancer signs will be in their feelings during this period. “They want to live by their heart and feelings, which means that they'll be basing all of their decisions impulsively on their temper and sentiments,” Stardust says about the Water sign.

Leo (July 23-Aug. 22)
Keep an eye on your money, Leo. Stardust warns that Leos will have “a hard time grasping their finances.” To combat this, Stardust suggests you “call upon an advisor to help [you] get [your] money matters in order.”
Virgo (Aug. 23-Sept. 22)
Virgo, you may feel like you’re floating on air with your love life, but try to keep your feet on the ground: Though Stardust knows that you’re “living in [your] fantasy of romance,” she says it's "essential" that you don't get “lost in love.”
Libra (Sept. 23-Oct. 22)
It’s a brand new season for you, Libra. Stardust says your sign will have a major “wake-up call” when it comes to your lifestyle, noting that this will force you to “purge” yourself of “old habits that aren't healthy.”

Scorpio (Oct. 23-Nov. 21)
Get ready to feel inspired, Scorpio, as Stardust says you’ll likely “feel a wave of creativity” during this retrograde. “This will give Scorpios the chance to ignite their artistry and passions,” Stardust adds.
Sagittarius (Nov. 22–Dec. 21)
According to Stardust, “the archer will be yearning for a spiritual connection” during this time. Stardust notes that leaning into this spirituality will not only help you “understand [your] ancestry” but also “help in healing the past.”
Capricorn (Dec. 22-Jan. 19)
It’s time to catch up on some zzzs, Capricorn. After working hard over the past few months, Stardust says that you’ll be in need of some much-needed R&R, adding that you should “take some time for [yourself] in order to decompress.”

Aquarius (Jan. 20-Feb. 18)
You’ve been living in dreamland, Aquarius, but be careful as Stardust teases it won’t last for long. “The bubble might be bursting the upcoming months, making Aquarians live and adjust to reality,” Stardust says of the Air sign.
Pisces (Feb. 19-March 20)
Prepare for some new insight, Pisces, as Stardust says you’ll see “people for who they truly are.” Though you may not like what “comes to light,” Stardust adds that “it will allow [you] to know who [you] can trust in the future.”
