Pokemon Scarlet/ Violet Leak thread (2024)

Well its that time again. Another gen, another deluge of leaks.These leaks seem to hold a LOT more water than usual though, and its only gonna become a torrent from here on out, so lets keep discussion away from the main thread.

I peek at a leak or 2 now and then, and while I usually LOVE the leak season of every new gen, these leaks leave little speculation or imagination for my liking, so I probably wont add much to the convos personally. but for everyone else, have at it.

The art is fan interpretations, i assume? Since the spriggy final form's face goes against the leaked screenshot of it's model's head/neck, and several of the mon i recognize as fakemon

Edit: Eh, I'll just post these with the spoilers tagged, just to be safe.

So, I legitimately do want to be surprised...but I also want to plan my team a bit, so I'm conflicted. I might just pick up anything that fits my needs, which is kind of what I did when I played Shield.

So I'm planning on getting Sprigatito and Ceruledge, the bits about a Pawmi evolution being Electric/Fighting has made me want to get it too, and I'll probably snatch up Ralts because I like that line (from what I understand, these paradox forms are not part of evolutionary lines, but that's fine, Paradox Gallavoir or whatever you want to call it would just double up on Fighting for me), and I'll just get whatever catches my fancy for the other two.

Does anyone have a list of version exclusives aside from the Paradox Forms?

Dunsparce finally evolving! Oh how I hated that guy in gsc. So hard to find (I did not know about the hiker guy when I was a kid.) And so underwhelming stats wise.

One thing I've been checking the leaks for is just to see if one of my favorite Pokemon, Sewaddle/Swadloon/Leavanny, are finally coming back this gen. The site says they're still unconfirmed, even in leaks, so I'm holding out hope still. They haven't been part of a region's local Pokedex since their debut generation, and past Gen 5 can only be found via Island Scan before not making the cut for Gen 8. They'd benefit immensely from Terastallizing, being able to trade off their bevy of weaknesses at the cost of some STAB.

But for talk more in line with the leaks, Paradox mon are an interesting idea, the only thing that bums me out about them is that apparently they don't evolve or have prevolutions where applicable. Bit of a missed opportunity, but maybe the designs will end up being good enough to sway my opinion otherwise.

They also apparently have legendary BST last I checked. Probably around 540-560 for most of them as I don't see the Pokemon Company giving them all truly Legendary stats.

I'm expecting something around Snorlax or Volcarona. 570 ala Ultra Beasts and Tapus also works IMO, and, after all, Naganadel is one of the best U Bs and has Gyarados-tier stats.

Also, I'm really annoyed at Weedle not being in while Caterpie is FOR THE THIRD GEN IN A ROW.

Or Gligar. C'mon, lemme use it.

In gen 2, Dunsparce has a very low encounter rate in Dark Cave... unless there is a Dunsparce swarm, but you'll only know (or maybe one can't even trigger without) if you register the Phone Number of the Hiker between Union Cave and Azalea Town in your Poke Gear.

Judging by the fact that Sprigatito will be Grass/Dark and apparently have a wand, I think it's final evolution will be a Dark Magical Girl.

I feel like if any paradox pokémon are revealed, it'll probably be the paradox donphans or volcaronas. They'd get the points across and show off both with 1 (err... 2 but semantics) mon

I mean, it's a pretty safe bet. Spoilery as they may be, they're a major enough element that they really need to be shown off

I'd expect the donphans and maybe one other for each game
